Thanks for this amazing super clear clarity podcast on Mentorship.
Mentor – is someone who helps you make progress towards whatever goal you want to achieve.

Three mentors whom you follow had comman points in terms of vision , values, trades & skills apart from alignment with personal values of Family first, spiritually grounded and down to earth with exceptional systems in place doing the work and not being flashy and fame focussed.

10 attributes to look for –

          (1) Is your trainer a implementor thru skills they have tried and tested
          (2) They are very good listeners of market place able to respond as per market needs
          (3) They commit to life long learning
          (4) They are practitioners like have a deeper level of applying as done by people who are into sadhana meditation or any other spiritual practice. They follow a discipline and routine
          (5) They are non judgmental, open minded as the community comprises people from different geogrphies culture etc..
          (6) They are solution providers
          (7) They are good mentees themselves. They attribute lot of their skills to their mentors and share it with their mentees .
          (8) They have developed a proven tested system on their own
          (9) They are hands on in their topic of specialization
          (10) They have collaborative spirit and not competitive spirit. Can be known by observing if they put other players in similar space down by some tactic which is not correct.

The mentor who has the above 10 qualities always keeping the best interest of Students in mind can show a transformational path to the mentees provided they take responsibility for their growth by surrendering to the process , system, by being open, by asking genuine questions and be an implementer by taking it to the finish line.

Thanks sidz for this wonderful podcast helping us to rewire ourselves in this journey.

          Best regards
          Diliip

    • Thankappan Genardanan

Yes, correct. The mentor becomes a true mentor when he can do the above services sincerely and devotionally. Because the future of one’s life is in his hands.

    • Inder jeet Singh ubhi

Very useful information for choosing a mentor who is implementer and very practical, understandable the pain points of audience and have high qualities as a person, while taking the value of knowledge of mentor, the person should surrender to him to get real knowledge, if the person wants to shift the mentor, he can do, first complete all the assignment if the mentor and take to the finish line and after achieve the target, if need arises, then go the another mentor who he or she Aline with. A person can have many mentor in his life, but be sure that first completed the task and then see the another. And attribute mention is really amazing

22.11.21 FIND A MENTOR TO GET RESULT

NEITHER COACH/ TEACHER/ MENTOR MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL- MAKE YOU DEVELOPED/ RICH- BASICALLY, IT IS INDIVIDUAL’S RESPONSIBILITY- HIS DESIRE AND CONSISTENT PERSEVERANCE AFTER HIS SET GOAL.
HE NEEDS TO SELECT A COACH/ TRAINER/ A MENTOR TO GUIDE HIM/DIRECT HIM/ COAX HIM/ CAJOLE HIM IN THE JOURNEY AND THE INDIVIDUAL NEED TO HAVE THE WILLINGNESS AND GRIT TO FOLLOW THE COACH/ MENTOR ALMOST BLINDLY TO GET FAST RESULT.
THEN IT BECOMES MOST IMPORTANT TO EFFECTIVELY SELECT ONE WHO IS FIT TO ONE’S MENTOR. HOW TO DO THAT??? WHAT ARE THE POINTERS TO FIND ONE??? A VERY BIG RESPONSIBILITY…….

      MENTOR- QUALIFICATION
WHO COULD HANDHOLD TO MAKE YOU PROGRESS, REMOVE OBSTACLES, SIMPLIFY THINGS FOR ONE TO UNDERSTAND CLEARLY- MAKES THE VISION CLEAR TO DRIVE AHEAD CONFIDENTLY ON THE PATH. HE SHOWS YOU THE MIRROR FIRST (CLEAN & CLEAR AUDITING OF ATTRIBUTES AND DIRECTING TO ENHANCE INHERENT STRENGTH AND ERASING/MASKING INHERENT WEAKNESSES)

      LOOK FOR
WITH WHOM YOU ARE PERSONALLY CONGRUENT VALUE-WISE AND HE MEETS YOUR QUALIFICATIONS OF A MENTOR.
MENTOR WHO IS NOT A SPEAKER BUT AN IMPLEMENTOR. IS HE AN IMPLEMENTOR? HAS HE/SHE WALKED THE TALK, AND CONGRUENT WITH THE CONCEPT HE TEACHES. HAS THE SKILL
STRONG UNCOMPROMISING VALUE SYSTEM. SIMPLE, UNASSUMING LIFESTYLE.
GOOD LISTENERS- HAVE THEIR EARS ON THE MARKET.
      Lifelong LEARNERS
PRACTICE SOMETHING CONSISTENTLY. VERY DISCIPLINED IN THEIR PRACTICE.
      NONJUDGMENTAL- MAKES RAPPORT WITH MENTEE
      PROBLEM SOLVER.
      THEY REMAINED EXCELLENT MENTEES THEMSELVES
THEY HAVE BUILT THEIR UNIQUE PROVEN SYSTEM AND METHODS.
THEY ARE HANDS-ON – ON THEIR
COLLABORATIVE THAN COMPETITIVE SPIRIT- NOT PUZZLED BY COMPETITION-THEY BELIEVE NO ONE COPY THEM EVEN THEY COPY THEIR CONTENT. THEY BELIEVE PEOPLE BUY PEOPLE BEFORE PURCHASING A PRODUCT ONE SELLS- TRUST ON PERSON BEFORE THE PRODUCT.

      ONE OR MANY-
INITIALLY ONE HAS TO SHOP AROUND WITH HIS/HER SPECIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS TO FIND CLEAR PERSONAL CONGRUENCE, THEM FOLLOW HIS DIRECTIVES WITH FAITH AND TAKE THE LEAP.
      SUMMING UP
BUT THEN ONE NEEDS MULTIPLE MENTORS ON THE PATH AS REQUIREMENTS ARE DYNAMIC AND NEED FOR SKILL CHANGES WITH TIME AND SITUATION. A BEE COLLECTS NECTAR FROM DIFFERENT FLOWERS WHICH GIVES HONEY THE ALL-ROUND QUALITY, THOUGH HE COLLECTS NECTAR FROM ONE FLOWER AT A TIME. THE ADMIXTURE OF NECTAR ASSIMILATED AND PROCESSED WITHIN THE BEE COMES OUT OF IT AS AMBROSIA- WHICH PEOPLE ENJOY MORE THAN THE BEE ITSELF. BEE DOES ITS DUTY INCESSANTLY IN COLLECTING NECTAR AND MAKING HONEY OUT OF IT.
THE SPIDER ALSO SITS ON A FLOWER AND GETS POISON OUT OF IT- LIKEWISE, A ABLE MENTOR AS A MENTEE COLLECTS NECTAR FROM HIS/HER MENTORS AND MAKES THE AMBROSIA TO SERVE TO HIS/ HER MENTEES. THE CYCLE CONTINUES WITH TRUST, FAITH AND GRATITUDE AND GRACE- TRUST AND FAITH AND GRATITUDE OF MENTEE ON MENTOR AND GRACE OF MENTOR ON MENTEE. THAT IS THE RELATION/CONNECTION, THE SPIRITUAL CONNECT THE SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP.

      MENTEE QUALITIES
SELECT MENTOR/MENTORS WITH CLARITY AND CARE
      LISTEN, IMPLEMENT, LEAP WITH FAITH
QUESTION, GET DOUBTS CLEARED, EXTRACT NECTAR
      CONSISTENTLY FOLLOW
BE GRATEFUL TO GET GRACE- THAT IS THAT 1% WHICH MAKES THE GRADE- TAKE ONE TO PINNACLE. WITHOUT GRACE -BALANCE 99% DOES NOT TAKE YOU THERE- THE GOAL/ TOP/PINNACLE
