We look for answers on Social Media
      Phases of Social Media –

      1. In 90’s – Messenger
      2. Orkut and MySpace came
      3. We build relationships on LinkedIn
      4. Social Media primarily launched as
desktop based enabling it on Smart
      Phone.
      5. Decline of Organic Reach (2015)
      6. Machine Learning based Stuff
      7. News Feed Addictions through
      emotional triggers.
      8. People living in different reality (Reel
      Life)
      9. MetaVerse (Wearing Headsets)
      10. Matrix

Solution Part :- All platforms are engineered to keep within the network. They also feed us to keep in the network.

How to constructively use :- Create content more than we Consume,
Awaken People to realities of life we have to be Educators.
Attract people in our value based giving them solutions.
      We can collectively help people.
Focus on creating long term content going deep that is value based.
      Taking digital conversation.

To protect ourselves – Delete all social media apps on phone. Remove all the notifications of the app. Design our personal Life. Educate the dangers of digital addiction. Inject the right values in our community. Let our Reel life and Real Life be different. Start Unplugging people in positve way. Experiment new Technologies being smart enough.

Spirituality, Meditation should be our way in future ✅

Sidz I absolutely agree with what you said in your podcast.
I am at that age where I can see the good and the harm being caused by excessive exposure to social media.
Your points are very valid and I follow them but difficult to convince others who like the virtual reality.
      Kudos to you.

I heard the entire podcast. Thanks for the warning. Sometimes we get sucked into quick sand and then get stuck.

Loved the journey down the memory lane…

Wasn’t able to take notes, but my main take away is, to add value, to create more than consume and best of all, continue to be earthed.

    • Santosh Acharya

Mental Health is the #1 Priority for everyone, whether they are connected on social media or not. Some may be handling issues of addiction to social media, whereas some may experience difficulty understanding where the world is moving to, since they have totally abandoned. I know some friends who don’t have any social media accounts and they refrain from joining any social media.

It’s like a flood, you can stand on the pavement till the water pulls you in or you jump into the new medium and experience a new world. But as we have always learned from childhood, discipline and healthy boundaries will always let you be dry and safe.

I am also concerned, as I recently met a proffesor who retired from an college, he told me, that their college management decided to scrap all the books in the library, since nobody is interested in those books. It is an alarming situations everywhere, and people have to raise their voice for conservation of resources. We are not entering a Technological era where we will have to distinguish between robots and humans, real and reel, Augmented reality and the real elements on earth. It’s time to change the education system altogether.

I watched a youtube episode sometime back which said the teacher asked students in primary school in a foreign country, “how is make curd” and the students explained that curd is plucked from trees. Imagine if the basic environmental knowledge is so distorted because, no one makes curd at home. There will be lot of areas that need attention.

      1. Start Creating more than you consume – There are so many ways to do it – write, speak, or videos – Share your ideas to the world, there will be someone who needs your experience and will find it.
      2. Be a Knowledge Transferrer – The amount of knowledge is too much for people to consume and it requires a lot of time. So people who are learned should be sharing the knowledge through experiences of the real world.
      3. Build digital communities to have a common voice to save yourself
      4. Focus on your behaviors, improve yourself, instead of looking at what others do
      5. Find your life’s purpose, it will let you have clarity of vision.
      6. There needs to be lots of real life hobbies that lets people be attached to earth.

Thanks for sharing this information Sidz. Arigato

Superb Podcast and very needed at this time. We are approaching the Metaverse phase and then the Matrix!
      Many learnings!

    • Bharti Mahesh iyer

      Amazing podcast siddz.
      Very thoughtful .

    • Neeraj

      Insightful

    • Anandhkumar Chellappan

The different phases are nicely explained such as messengers, next school friends reach, then linkedin Facebook and Twitter and Instagram again to the smartphone world, the declining of organic reach supported by machine learning, news feed addictions, living different reality and finally the Metaverse and the Matrix.

Super Amazing Learning For Me Sidz….

The solution is creating more content than consuming, making people aware and bringing to the reality. attract people to the value based digital island. adding value people and solution and collectively helping people to shift their behaviour. focus on creating a long-term content and finally a digital conversation into the physical world with much congruence.

The Solution which Sidz gave is practically valid:
Remove all notifications; design your personal life; focus to digital activity; educate the dangers of social media; inject the right value to the community; reel life and real life be congruent; start unplugging many people from the matrix equation; Experiment the new technologies…

Thanks a billion Sidz, for this amazing piece of content. Really it gave a great clarity for me… Luv Yu. Thanks!

Thanks Sidz, for throwing us much light on the problems that could arise, handling next gen, vision.

      Takeaways
      1. It really sounds scary (though feels exciting) to think of the world similar to the movie “Ready Player One”.
      2. But consciously used, yes it is going to give us a proper platform to develop oneself and our business to the next scale.
      3. We need to take proper care of our next generations such that they are not going to be addicted to the social media.
      4. We need to be connected to the nature and spirituality even in the extremely digital world inorder to stay safe from all major tech issues.

    • Ashutosh Jha

Uninstalled linkedin, Facebook and Instagram. And yes, totally agree, when using technology, use it with a focused approach, to prevent yourself from being sucked into it’s quicksand

      • Siddharth Rajsekar

Thanks a ton, Sangeeta! The key is to keep growing through the journey.

As a parent, the mobile phone/ laptop has become a monster that I have to give to my child. What with online classes and school circulars/ notes being sent thru various apps. The danger is just as you described. The kids don’t see the difference between living a real life and a make believe life. They are just satisfied in their virtual world and don’t want to snap out of it.
I often drag my child away from the phone and try to involve in other activities.
For some people like me, the digital world is quite an alien world and I feel very disconnected to much of the stuff happening out there. I must thank you many times over for this podcast and will definitely continue to educate my child to contribute positively rather than merely be a consumer. Hopefully we should not lose our next gen to a virtual world that controls them! In fact I feel that you have voiced what a multitude of parents are feeling at this time. Many many thanks????

WHAT DID I GATHERED FROM THE PODCAST BLENDED WITH MY LONG EXPERIENCE IN LIFE IS AS FOLLOWS:
      1. TECHNOLOGY IS GROWING EXPONENTIALLY. IT IS GOOD IF USED CONSTRUCTIVELY BUT MISUSE IS HIGHLY DETRIMENTAL LIKE NUCLEAR BOMB. IT IS RIGHTLY SAID “SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ARE GOOD SERVANTS BUT HOPELESS MASTERS”
      2. DEVELOPMENT IN HUMAN CIVILIZATION CAME IN WAVES. ONE WAVE OVERRIDING THE PREVIOUS ONE IN A BIG WAY AND WAVES ARE COMING IN LESS AND LESS TIME DELAY. FOR EXAMPLE – IT TOOK MANY MILLENNIA FOR HUMAN BEINGS FROM NOMADIC TRIBES TO AGRICULTURAL SETTLERS. TRANSPORTATION FROM WALKING TO HORSE RIDING TO STEAM ENGINE TO AEROPLANES TO SUPERSONIC JETS HAVE COME IN SUCCESSIONS AND THE DURATION OF APPEARANCE OF NEXT AND MUCH IMPROVED VERSION IS TAKING LESS TIME. MOORE’S LAW WAS PROPOUNDED BY GORDENE. MOORE, CO-FOUNDER OF INTEL IN 1965 IS VALID EVEN TODAY AND WILL CONTINUE TO HOLD GOOD AS WE SEE THE TRENDS.
      3. IN AGRARIAN CIVILIZATION MUSCLE WAS THE POWER. IN THE INDUSTRIAL ERA MONEY IS THE POWER. AND ON THE INTERNET AND THE INFORMATION AGE MIND IS THE POWER AND THE MIND IS THE FASTEST TO WORK. ALL THESE DEVELOPMENTS CANT BE STOPPED BUT THEIR ADVERSE IMPACT CAN BE CURTAILED AND PREVENTED WITH AWARENESS ABOUT THEIR MISUSE.
      4. IN THE EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS, AS DATA REVEALS, THE HUMAN MIND HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE POWERFUL. AND IT SEEMS IT IS WORKING AGAINST INDIVIDUALS. DESPITE MORE AND MORE COMFORTS AT THE COMMAND OF EVEN THE COMMON MAN TODAY-PEOPLE ARE BECOMING MORE MORE MENTALLY SICK. HIGHER PRODUCTION OF AND CONSUMPTION OF MEDICINES AND HIGH DRUG/SLEEPING PILL CONSUMPTION IS AN INDICATION OF THAT.
      5. EASY AND ROUND THE CLOCK AVAILABILITY OF INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA AND DEVICE BECOMING SMALLER AND MORE AND MORE POWERFUL/SMART. IOT, AI, IA, MACHINE LEARNING AND BIG DATA ANALYSIS HAS MADE THE VIRTUAL WORLD A MORE ATTRACTIVE AND POWERFUL MEDIUM- MORE POTENT THAN DRUGS EVEN.
      6. THE SIMPLE MESSAGING TOOL AND APP LIKE ORKUT TO CONNECT WITH OWN FRIENDS HAVE UNDERGONE CHANGES WHICH IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION AND GROWING EVEN FASTER.
      7. PEOPLE OF MY GENERATION COULD CORRELATE THE CHANGE AND ITS IMPACT BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVES BUT BUT MILLENNIALS AND GENERATIONS BEYOND ARE GETTING SUCKED EVEN THEY UNDERSTAND IT. A KID UP TO 8/9 YEARS HAS NO FILTER AND WHAT HE IS SEEING/ DOING /LISTENING TO GOES TO THE SUBCONSCIOUS AND WILL IMPACT LIFE WITHOUT HIS/ HER UNDERSTANDING.
8 THOUGHTFUL PERSONALITIES ARE TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF BAD CONSEQUENCES IF NO CORRECTIVE ACTIONS ARE TAKEN.
HAVING UNDERSTOOD THE POTENTIAL NEGATIVE IMPACTS, MANDATES FINDING SOLUTIONS. Siddharth HAS ENUMERATES PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS
      CREATE MORE CONTENT THAN USING.
CREATE CONTENT THAT IS VALUABLE AND SOLVES PROBLEMS
ATTRACTVPEOPLE TO A USEFUL AND HELPFUL ISLAND OF YOUR OWN TO PROTECT THEM FROM SHARKS IN THE OCEN.
FIND FREEDOM FROM TECHNOLOGY- USE AS MASTER DON’T BE SLAVE TO IT. BRING IN CONSCIOUSNESS AND AWARENESS ABOUT IT.
CREATE CONTENT TO THWART NEGATIVE BEHAVIOUR AND PUSH POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR.
INSTEAD OF INFOTAINMENT AND SENSATIONAL VALUE, CREATE LONG-FORM CONTENT OF PERMANENT VALUES.
THESE ARE POSITIVE ACTIONS IN THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY POSITIVELY.
REGARDING PROTECTING FROM BAD IMPACT HIS SUGGESTIONS ARE CANDID, PRACTICAL AND HELPFUL
REMOVE SOCIAL APPS FROM MOBILE. ONLY USE A LAPTOP TO USE WHEN NEEDED.
      REMOVE SOCIAL MEDIA NOTIFICATIONS
DESIGN AND PLAN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE ABOUT USING DIGITAL ACTIVITIES WHICH TAKES YOU TO WORTHY GOALS
      INJECT RIGHT VALUES.
MAKE REEL LIFE & REAL LIFE CONGRUENT.
UNPLUG FROM THE MENACE OF METRIX
USING TECHNOLOGY AS A MASTER TREATS A SERVANT THAN GETTING SUCKED INTO IT.
