I want to share some of my thoughts on integrity & business.
Integrity the most important factor for long term success in business.
Why?
It’s rare.
It’s valuable.
Character is like GOLD.
It’s rare.
99% of the business world is looking at making profits.
And they don’t mind crossing the ethical barriers to achieve that desired number.
But when I studied some of the world’s greatest companies…
I realised that many stood the test to time + attracted loyal customers due to their strong values of integrity, ethics & quality.
And that’s why this principle so valuable to me.
And I do business ONLY with people who resonate with my values. Period.
You know what’s the sad thing in today’s marketplace?
Everybody wants to be the HERO of their story.
But… can I tell you one secret?
That’s CHEAP. 🙂
When you make your customer the HERO of your story, then you’re going in the RIGHT DIRECTION.
As you may know… I have been making some good money online.
But never have I flashed my incomes even ONCE on my social media profiles.
Never.
Yes, I do share my income results on email and during my webinars, because people have opted into my list.
But never on public domain.
Why?
It’s NOT about me.
I just feel it’s too cheap doing that kind of stuff.
The more you do that, the only thing you are communicating with your audience is … “Look how great I am.. you loser!”
And this is all about “me, me, me, me…!!”
You know what?
This will actually turn OFF people.
It might have worked in the past.
But today consumers are more intelligent.
Consumers want substance.
Not the external glitter.
Yes, there is a segment of people who like “glitter and gossip”.
But honestly, that’s not my scene. 🙂
And that’s not the kind of person that I would like to work with.
People today want to connect with a human being that cares for them.
People today want to work with business owners who run their show with integrity and transparency.
This single factor will determine whether you are going to build a short term or a long term business.
Today, we are living in a world where are millions of options – for people to choose from.
And when you do the opposite of the 99% of business owners, you will stand out.
You will attract the right quality customers.
Your vibe will attract your tribe.
I strongly believe in personal branding.
But there’s a subtle line between you doing this to show how great you are… versus helping your community.
Honestly, I don’t subscribe to most of the BS influencers online.. who are full of themselves.
I subscribe to those who are silently creating a massive impact in peoples’ lives.
I like to follow those people who are delivering value first.
Because when you deliver value first, then you have the right to exchange that value for money or anything else.
Just pointlessly flashing your income stats in the guise of giving inspiration to your audience is a failing model, and it’s short-lived.
It really doesn’t have substance.
And there’s a deeper understanding of this…
Everyone likes to be appreciated.
Those people whom I have seen such traits are the ones who have not been appreciated in their childhood years.
Which is why the traits of self-adoration and self-proclamation start to manifest later on in life.
People start to do funny things just to be “accepted” 🙂
One of my mentor’s says this…
you can copy my website
you can copy my systems
you can copy my content
you can copy my sales process
you can copy everything…
but… you cannot copy my heart…
you cannot copy my values…
This is the next frontier in business.
It’s about bringing out your individuality.
It’s about staying grounded in strong ethics and values and building something long term.
It’s by removing yourself out of the equation and making your customers the HERO of your story.
When you do this you will automatically be valued for your contribution.
Once again… I’m reiterating…
It’s NOT about how great you are.
It’s about how you can make others GREAT at what they do.
I have built my business on these principles from day one.
And I can see the momentum and growth.
I have no stress in my business.
I have more free time for myself and my family.
I have created systems to make people become the best at what they do.
That gives me satisfaction.
That gives me freedom.
