Spirituality isn’t goal driven. One have to no longer have a intention to be religious. One must no longer additionally select among fabric and non secular dreams. Spirituality is a course, a way of life. Spirituality is within you, while materialistic matters are outside your frame and thoughts. They can be Yours but they may be now not You. Is being yourself a purpose ? The more you try to separate your self from materialistic matters/attractions, you may mechanically emerge as more religious (come closer to yourself). Spirituality is a process. One should consciousness on system as opposed to aim or outcome.

Liked the concept of connecting material goals to spiritual goals as an empowering context for our business . Innate quality of the soul is to serve and this could be for self, family, community or at higher level with the Himself !!
What differentiates us from animals is our capacity to find purpose other than self and build on it and the ultimate goal should be to Serve GOD. There is a very important saying from devotional master- Put the water from the Lake back to the Lake and get empowered with boons from the Creator !!
The material goals are actually like securing our safety – our Oxygen first and then help others with the Oxygen – very important flight instruction .
Differentiating Body and The Soul gives us access to transcend ourselves from purely materialistic goals to combined materialistic and spiritual goals !!
This concept is very powerful and can help us in various facets of our lives viz
1. Monetary goals connected to Charity

What is the nature of the soul?
Soul gives us consciousness. The nature of soul is eternal, bliss and full of knowledge and the nature of soul is to render service to others and the ultimate service is to serve the creator of the universe.
What differentiate humans from animals is the level of consciousness and the inquisitive about life questions. The animal do 4 different tasks: Sleeping, eating, mating and defending and if we humans do the same then there is no difference between us and animals.
What makes us spiritually happy? Service to the creator.
Setting material goals and making spiritual and internal happiness is to help yourself first. You need to understand your purpose first then to help others to achieve their goals.
There are 6 kinds of goals:
Financial goals: make 3L/month and give 10% of the profits into the charity. This way you can serve yourself , society, country and offer your services.
Relationship goals: you see your spouse with a purpose as a soul and make it more enriching by knowing that there is a purpose of you two being together and help each other fulfilling your purpose.
Career Goals: Achieve big goals and connect it with spiritual service
Health Goals : not to impress others but to look your body as a instrument given by the creator to fulfil your purpose her

Materialism= 5 Elements of the body
Spirituality= We are an eternal being, not just this body, but we are souls that transmigrates and can leave one body and take up the other- REINCARNATION, eg: Prodigy, disorders, in few being. We are born with nothing, go with nothing in hand, only thing that we carry forward is the KARMA, Spiritual credits of service.
Nature of our SOUL: It gives us consciousness. Because of this we do things and create things. The soul is eternal, blissful, full of knowledge, and covered with desires. The innate quality of the soul is to serve. All the time we are serving, whether it is a family, office, self, community, boss or universe or the creator himself.
When we give water to the roots of a tree, everything else gets fulfilled. A better thing is to pour water to the roots, than on the leaf or stem.
Similarly, we serve others all other things taken care of. Like animals we do eat, sleep, take care of ourselves, defending. But what makes us different is to understand nature and the journey of soul, purpose, and what are we supposed to do to tranced between our lives.
What makes us spiritually happy is SERVICE. Not just service to self, family, community, and nation, but service to the creator.
Before we serve others we need to understand our purpose, understand the nature of the soul, and serve the supreme creator, we need to work on self and nourish our souls, and then set materialistic goals.
Financial goals:
If we have financial goals, of achieving few lacs/ month, connect your financial goal to giving 10% to charity, and some part of it going to serve self, family community, country, and God. This is service to self and service to the creator
For relationship goals:
we make wowed at marriage, our partner is a partner in our journey, there is a purpose, and we need to decode it. Same with parents, and children, Look at them as souls, and how we can give value system, so that they can be value givers to the batter, which is more noble service. Make relationship with your spouse more enriching so we both grow together. External things like lust come with expiry date. Understanding our partner as a soul with a purpose, born to fulfil a journey, and align with each other to fulfil each others goals and purposes, by having mutual love and respect for one other. This brings deeper connection with each other, Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
Career Goals:
We want to grow and achieve big things, and having career goals spiritually aligned will bring a sense of fulfilment
Health Goals:
If we only look at the body from a materialistic perspective and take care of it just to impress and attract others, this also comes with an expiry date. If we want to sustain the health goals, we need to look at the body as an instrument given to us by the creator, to fulfil all our goals and do amazing work, thence may set health goals aligned spiritually with a broader perspective, we can enjoy life
Creativity Goals:
We are blessed with some creative talents, like music, and art. Some of us use it for personal entertainment. Instead, we can channel that creative talent to serve, and fulfil & re-establish connection with a supreme Being, Which will give us the fulfilment of our internal purpose.
Contribution can be to self, family, community, or the universe. When we think we are body, everything we do is self-centred.
Tips to build the business:
1. Build it with a level of detachment, put your effort do not worry of the results. To build a great business we need EFFORT+GRACE. The effort from the outside and grace from a higher power will bless us to move forward. Just keep doing what you are to do, results will come when it is the right time.
2. Dovetailing: blending spirituality and materialism together. Eg. When on a vacation, along with entertainment, learn some spiritual concepts by visiting various cultural centres, to make your family members to understand the bigger picture and purpose. Entertainment can be combined with spiritual learnings.
3. Minimalism: When we are materialistic ming we want to hoard materialistic things and do things for ourselves. Instead, the concept of minimalism is to have the best of things, but have less and do more, without getting attached to things.
4. Have a higher mission and cause: Get connected to the spiritual master, to adopt spirituality in practice, and realisation of concepts within. When we have higher goals and plans, those get uncovered through spiritual practices. That will help set materialistic goals
5. Operate from the zone of pure love.:keep cleaning the dust covering the heart and live with love and consciousness. Along with self-fulfilment, we can make the world around us a better place. This works beyond all ideologies and perspectives.
Having a larger mission for life helps setting up materialistic and spiritual goals. If there is no larger mission, one is stuck in daily rut. Inner fulfilment comes when we are connected with self which is reflection of higher consciousness. Thanks for sharing Sidz.

It is full of knowledge and it is eternal.
Do you feel that somehow getting too much into materialism will ruin your spiritual life?
