Let's Save The Next Generation

I was born in the eighties, and I have fond memories of playing outside frequently. I engaged in various activities that didn't involve technology. However, I'm deeply concerned about today's younger generations, especially Generation Alpha and Gen Z. In this podcast, I aim to share my views on how they are being affected and why we need to take action to safeguard their future. They need our help, and it's crucial to address this issue now.

I grew up in a joint family, and the strong value system instilled by my grandfather has guided me throughout my life. In today's world, with an increasing number of nuclear families, family time often takes a back seat, and meaningful discussions among family members become rare. Few activities emphasize shared values and beliefs. It's high time we awaken to this reality and work together, especially if you're a parent in your mid-30s or 40s, to make a difference for the next generation. As a father of two boys, I constantly think about how to provide them with a better future and leverage technology without distorting their values and beliefs.

I intend to share ten key strategies for saving the next generation. I'll delve into the problems they face and propose solutions. Please take notes and consider sharing this podcast with someone who may benefit from it. My name is [Your Name], and I'm recording this podcast to help people build spiritually grounded businesses from the comfort of their homes by tapping into their expertise and knowledge and building vibrant learning communities.

Let's now explore how to save the next generation:

Strengthen Family Foundations: Family plays a pivotal role in transmitting values to the next generation. Prioritizing family time, engaging in discussions, and participating in activities that emphasize shared values can greatly benefit children's development.

Revamp Education: The current education system often focuses solely on the mental dimension of growth. We need to encourage teachers and leaders to become mentors and community builders, providing a more holistic education that includes values like empathy, honesty, and social responsibility.

Positive Role Models: Discuss with the younger generation what it means to be a positive role model. Parents should lead by example, and surrounding children with people who uphold strong moral and ethical standards can help shape their values.

Community Engagement: Encourage children to participate in community-based activities and service. This helps them connect with real people, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility.

Media Literacy: Teach children how to discern between constructive and degrading content. Monitor their media exposure and encourage them to consume content that promotes positive values.

Open Dialogue: Create an environment where children feel comfortable discussing values, beliefs, morals, and even sensitive topics like sex. Encourage questions and provide guidance without judgment.

Cultural and Historical Awareness: Promote an understanding and appreciation of your family's culture and traditions, as well as those of others. This helps children develop a sense of pride, identity, and values.

Join Communities and Mentoring Programs: Connect children with mentors and communities that offer guidance and support. These experiences can instill positive values and provide a strong foundation.

Conflict Resolution and Empathy: Equip children with skills to handle conflicts amicably and empathize with others. A toxic home environment can negatively impact their ability to resolve conflicts positively.

Ethical Consumption: Educate children about the impact of their consumption choices on society and the environment. Encourage responsible choices and awareness of global issues.

By implementing these strategies, we can positively influence the next generation and contribute to a better future. If you have additional insights to share, please leave them in the comments. If you're part of our community, thank you for your support.

totally resonate with each of the points that you mentioned about to save the next generation . The family time and opportunity for bonding needs to be created in everyday routine. open conversations and listening to each other is a starting point to help them to connect and emulate the role models from tne family. reducing screen time will happen when more engagement is there outside that screen , even playing some board game together or going for walk in nature is a great idea, which we follow in our family . Wonderful thoughs Sidz and important topic to discuss

“You and Vanita are walking the talk”

    • Dr Vandana Bhasin

I agree with what you said in the blog and realise that the orientation towards western culture has
clearly degraded the mindset and when the West is now looking towards rich Indian Heritage. We need mentors who can actually dig out the true and spiritual meanings of the scriptures, so that the right path can be shown.
Not that kids don’t want to learn but they sense the fake things and get averse. So definitely a change is required, to bring the humanistic based community culture.

    • Vinay Mediratta

This was one of the best philosophical and insightful podcasts. Thank you Sidz. My take ways are as follows

Family first- Have shared family values. Learn and share.
Education Second- – There are four dimensions of us- Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual. Unfortunately, only metal systems are given importance.
The third is to “provide Positive Role Models”- As a parent “I”. have to be the best role model.
The fourth way is to encourage them to participate in community-based activities.
The fifth way is to monitor their media exposure. We have to give them a good media literacy.
Have a lot of open dialogue with them. Be a mentor to them.
Please give them a lot of cultural and historical awareness. This could be both family culture and local culture.
Put them into many great communities for them.
To teach them how to deal with confidence. Generate empathy and mutual respect. Teach them how to avoid being judgemental.
The tenth point is their conception choice.

    • Prachiti Sharangdhar

Gen alpha and gen zee- need our help for saving them.

      5. Limiting their exposure to degrading content. Conscious effort to filter out the degrading content.

      • Sanjay Mhatre

i chatGPTed my own above points (just for fun & formality) … here is the response:

Save Next Gen (Gen Alpha and Gen Z): A Summary

To ensure a brighter future for the next generation, particularly Gen Alpha and Gen Z, a holistic approach encompassing family, education, community, and personal growth is essential.

Strong Family Foundation: Emphasize transmitting a conscious value system. Discuss and reflect upon what the child learns from their experiences.

Revamp Education: The current system focuses predominantly on mental dimensions. There’s a need to foster empathy, honesty, and social responsibility. Create teachers who not only educate but also implement these values.

Positive Role Models: The allure of external fame and material success is strong. Be the primary role model for the child by emphasizing values, morals, and maintaining high standards.

Community Involvement: Counter the growing screen addiction by promoting real-life interactions. Encourage participation in community activities to foster a sense of belonging and responsibility.

Limit Exposure to Degrading Content: Teach the child to discern and avoid negative content that can induce harmful behavioral loops.

Foster Open Dialogues: Encourage the child to express their doubts and feelings freely, seeking clarity. This open communication avoids secret deviant explorations and fosters trust.

Reconnect with Cultural & Historical Roots: Instill pride in their culture and traditions. Without this connection, the younger generation might disregard beneficial customs.

Encourage Mentorship: Joining mentoring programs and communities can instill positive values and provide additional guidance.

Conflict Resolution Skills: Teach children to handle conflicts with empathy and understanding, emphasizing mutual respect and kindness.

Ethical Consumption: Educate them on the importance of making responsible choices, considering the global impact. Knowing the origins of their purchases can lead to better decision-making and instill values they’ll pass on to future generations.

Overall, the focus is on leveraging technology and living their mission to offer the next generation a chance to thrive in a balanced, values-driven environment.

        • Sanjay Mhatre

Decode everyday’s experience into invaluable learning towards the attainment of goal. It becomes easy if you are doing everyday journalling. Or a video or a podcast by rule.

Shared family values can make it easier for people to look for organization goal, and be respectful of each other’s value and how to march ahead towards the goal walking together.

Training the next generation by becoming role models for them. We walk the talk. They watch and emulate. It helps we doing course correction ourselves. So many obvious things are not obvious at times.

Community involvement is an individual level responsibility.

Save them from degrading content. We need to save ourselves first.

Encourage open discussion about many things depending on their age; they bottleed up within because they hesitate to ask. Not to judge them. Being a mentor to them , not to force ourselves to them.

Appreciation of culture, ours and others. They need to understand the history, ancient places, ancesteries.. over a period of time, they may start to hate their own culture.. We need to be conscious about what they are getting exposed to.

Allow them to be part of great mentoring programmes, being of service and learning by the side.

Dealing with conflicts and how to have empathy for others, equipping them with skills to understand others, the viewpoint, what it is to have kindheartedness and have mutual respect without judgement.

Educate them about ethical consumption, being sensitive about global issues, what happenes to the environment when they consume what they are giving in to. They need to understand their responsibility and make the planet better than they inherited it.

We need to be responsible and to be all ears to each of their comments, statements and words. All can say a story which we need to be sensitive about. It very well can be a reflection and outcome of our own thoughts which we never realized before may be.

Strong Family Foundation: The cornerstone for saving the next generation begins at home. A strong family foundation instils values and principles that guide children throughout their lives.

Holistic Education: The current education system, overly focused on academics, overlooks the emotional and holistic development of children. A revamp is necessary to cater to the complete well-being of a child.

Value-Based Learning: It’s crucial to embed values like empathy, honesty, respect, and social responsibility in our education system. This forms the moral compass for our future leaders.

Mentorship Over Formal Teaching: Encourage educators to step into the roles of mentors and community builders. Through mentorship, children gain real-life experiences and wisdom that classrooms might miss.

Media Literacy: In an age of digital overload, children need the skills to differentiate between constructive and harmful content. Guiding them towards positive media while educating them on the pitfalls is essential.

Community Engagement: Active participation in community service exposes children to real-world challenges and solutions. It also pries them away from screens, offering a more grounded experience.

Incorporate Media Literacy in Curriculum: Begin young! Make media literacy a formal part of education so that children learn early on to discern the nature and impact of the content they consume.

Promote Cultural Awareness: Exposing children to their own cultural roots and other traditions fosters a sense of belonging and respect. This cultural literacy not only builds character but also bridges divides.

No prioritisation among family members, lack of inculcating the shared values of the family,

How can I leverage the tech to enable my next generation to live life powerfully!
To bring in the strong family foundation. Family plays a big role on transmitting the value system by prioritising the time. Sid has been encouraging his son to start creating his content out of his learning. This empasize the value system our of learning and documenting the same.
Education: Existing education system does not care for holistic growth of all the four dimensions. We encourage new breed of teachers for holistic growth
Role models: Influencers, Instagrammer, podcasters etc. Not all are the positive role models. Start discussing the positive role models. Be your own role model. Surround them with amazing role models.
Engage children on community based activities: Instead of tech gadgets based engagement only, get them engaged with real people in community with humanity to inculcate the belonging and oneness.
Limiting the negative damaging content: consumption as well as creation
Open dialogue: Moral, values, sex etc to be discussed as an open dialogue as any way they need to be informed. Better to be informed by you as a mentor with enforcing your judgement and views
Culture of the family, roots: Let them know about the roots, family, spiritual places to enable them to be grounded. Else just by consuming other culture families from social media they may despise the culture of the roots.
Put them in the community and mentoring programmes: Sid allows his son to assist in MMI programme as community service. This sets a strong foundation with communities around
Teach to deal with conflicts: How to empathise. How to break the pattern of current being to include the mutual respect, kind heartdness to avoid conflict will make the life great
Promote ethical consumption: Make them responsible for consumption ethically to be aware of how that product is coming from, how it is a better choice for the consumption.

🔥🔥🔥 Latest generation – Our role in it!🤗

I’m writing my learnings, and also adding implantable steps for each, on what we can do to make the most of this!
      Knowledge knowledge action is meaningless🤗

🥰 We grew up with zero social media, and that was really the best time🤗

🥰 We could live our every single day, be in the present🤗

😭 But right now, we are worked up, literally manipulated through social media and technology🤗

      🎁Steps to take care!🤗

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family plays the most important rule! Engaging not in RULES, but VALUES! Creating content, sharing our ideas, in the form of learning and sharing.🤗

↗️ Tell show do, teach, learn, everything happens together🤗

🏫 Working on Education. Formal education is out dated, focussed only on Mental🤗

↗️ We have to encourage more teachers and leaders become mentors and educate through Emotional, Social, Spiritual dimensions of education🤗

👨‍✈️ Finding the right Role Model! Rather being a role model, not on money, fame, rather VALUES, PRINCIPLES, ETHICS, MORALS. This begins with US, and surrounding them with IDEAL ROLE MODELS WORTH FOLLOWING! 🤗

↗️ Be a role model with VALUES, and surround them with ROLE MODELS WHO DESERVE FOLLOWING🤗

👨‍👧‍👦👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Community based activities. This us when we are out of the phone, and are invested in people. 🤗

↗️ Spiritual Seva Activities mainly, that’s where they actually practise the roots🤗

🤬📲 Limit them from degrading content, focus more on what’s constructing thoughts and content, getting into solutions depending the intentions we want our next generation to be🤗

↗️ Let them decide, and discuss on what happens and what doesn’t🤗

🗣🙊 Our parents never spoke to us openly. This creates hazardous ways and means to open up🤗

↗️ Simply be a friend and mentor, zero judgements, just let it flow!🤗

🎎 Culture and roots, we all are deeply connecting to their spiritual beliefs. Belonging connecting to the roots, gives them fresh perspectives and grounding.🤗

↗️ Spiritual vacation every year, maintaining the family and historical traditions staying true to the roots🤗

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Presemt generation needs guidance on being surrounded in the form of a community service. Events, seminars, happens both learning and growing🤗

↗️ Send kids to community services, seminars where they can both learn and serve🤗

🎒🔖 Skills, mainly people skills. Honestly, loyalty, conflict management, soft skills, doing our bit on making the world a better place always🤗

↗️ Introfuce them to mentors right from the start to make sure that they are always in the frame of mind to ask🤗

📳🌏 Ethical Awareness – Educaying them on the impact of their choices, wherewith their actions will have repercussions.

↗️ They already know what will happen, so all we have to do is ask questions

😍Finally, the responsibility is on us! We have to BE WHAT WE WANT THEM TO BE!

🤩So let’s join hands in being the greatest mentors for our next generation!💝💝

I am a parent and I had golden nuggets from this podcast.

How do we save the next generation- the Gen Z and Gen Alpha

      Problems in the nuclear family:
      No interaction, no family time.
      No joint activities
      No shared values.

What can we do to change the state and give them a better future. How to live their purpose and mission using technology-

!) Bring in the strong family foundation-
Families play a pivotal role. Consciously transform value system.
Prioritize values, have activities and discussion around that.
Eg: encouraging them to create content. Whatever Sidz son is learning , he is brigning it out in the podcast.
      2) Have a holistic education system
      Mental, physical, spiritual, social responsibility
Have an education system including empathy, social responsibility.
Redefine education by creating mentors and teachers.
      3) Create role models-
Gen Alpha and Gen Z have many influencers based on external name, fame.
Talk to them about qualities of role models. Walk the path . Be their role model.
Surrond them with people who uphold strong ethical values. Atleast help them understand and decide their role models appropriately.

      4) Engage children in community based activities-
They are hooked into gaming, gadgets, gaming.

Put them in community based activities, which fosters sense of belonging and service
      5) How consciously limit them to degrading content:
      Anything harmful, negative.
Encourage media literacy where next generation to differentiate between constructive and deconstructive stuff. Walk the path and help them imbibe them.

      6) Encourage conversation around important topics
Don’t allow them to bottle up things and look outside in dangerous ways. Instead become approachable, be their mentor without enforcing it. Allow them to discuss and approach you on topics that matter..

      7) Encourage them to take pride in our history, culture.
Helps them to appreciate their culture, else they get distorted and carried away to think that other cultures are better.
      8) Put them in communities and mentoring program.

Let them join communities. Allow them to crew in community service and mentoring. I have thought of putting her in seva in ashram, or our community as crew
      9) Dealing with conflicts
Make sure the kids to understand that conflicts can be resolved with empathy and kindheartedness.. Create the environment where this is followed.
      10) Promote the ethical consumption:
Nurture their responsibility towards global issues. For example, purchases- how the things are manufactured, what do their use do to society and environment. That makes responsible for their actions and for future generations.

Thank you Sidz. You are not a digital coach. You are a coach with responsibility. You teach and preach.

      3. Monitor their social media consumption . To keep them away from unwanted things, we enrol them in games like football or music classes which they are interested in.
      4. Open dialogue. I try to spend atleast half an hour before sleep and let them speak about how their day went and this helps them open out to me.
      5. Cultural and historical awareness. Having a good family time by having mealtimes together when they are at home and we discuss cultural and historical inspiring thoughts at that time.
      6. Conflict resolution and empathy. yes. I think I need to help kids when kids need resolution.
      7. I also practise meditation and do prayers when kids are around. I hope one day my kids will also practise them.

Saving the next generation can be through the diligent effort towards imbibing the true values in the next gen to carry the legacy and heritage of our culture with the same idealogies. Top key metrics that will move the needle.
Foster strong family foundations with conscious values for transformative impact. Combine high-quality formal education to positively shape future generations.
Reform education: Shift from a mental-centric focus to holistic development. Encourage educators to be mentors and community builders, integrating values like empathy, honesty, and social responsibility.
Encourage positive role models: Engage in discussions with young individuals about the attributes of positive role models. Parents should exemplify these qualities, and exposing children to morally upright individuals can influence their values.
Promote community engagement: Encourage kids to join community activities and service. This nurtures connections, instills a sense of belonging, and fosters responsibility.
Promote media literacy: Educate kids to differentiate between positive and harmful content. Supervise their media intake and endorse material that upholds positive values.
Encourage open dialogue: Foster an environment where children can freely discuss values, beliefs, morals, and sensitive topics. Embrace questions and offer guidance without judgment.
Nurture cultural awareness: Encourage understanding and appreciation of both family and diverse cultural traditions. This cultivates pride, identity, and strong values in children.
Empower through mentorship: Link kids with mentors and supportive communities. These connections instill positive values and create a robust foundation for personal growth and development.
Foster empathy and conflict resolution: Teach children to handle conflicts with empathy. Create a positive home environment. Also, educate on ethical consumption, promoting responsible choices and global awareness.
By nurturing values, education, mentorship, and empathy, we empower the next generation to carry forward our cultural legacy with integrity and purpose, ensuring a brighter future.

    • Valerian

The part that resonated with me the most is handling conflict, especially at home, and having empathy for others.

And it all begins with the parents.

I want to add that we don’t have to tell kids what to do. We have to be the role model. And they will learn by just looking at us.

Years ago, I was working as a school teacher, and I found that the best way to make your students clean the classroom, which is filled with paper pieces, is to do it yourself first as a teacher, and just by looking at you, they will do the same.

So, be a role model rather than tell them what to do.

    • Deepali Honyalkar

This podcast is very insightful. Actually, its a need of the hour to focus on the proper upbringing of children due to the technology exposure children get. Its challenging for parents to handle this generation children because its not like earlier but not difficult. Parents need to be friends of the kids to handle them in a more better way. As a parent, I am doing my best to transparent with kid and understand him in a more better and matured way. Thanks for this podcast Sid.

Sidz begins with a comparison of childhood experiences in the 80s, 90s, and the early 2000s when children played outside and technology was not as prevalent. He expresses his concern and emphasizes the need to take action to support Generation Z and Generation Alpha. Here is his viewpoint and 10 actionable steps in a corrected and proper format:

      **Sidz’s Perspective:**

Sidz reflects on the differences between childhood in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, characterized by outdoor play and limited technology, in contrast to today’s environment. He shares his concern and highlights the urgency of taking proactive steps to safeguard the well-being of Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

      **Sidz’s Recommendations:**

**1. Strengthening Family Bonds:** Sidz underscores the importance of a strong family foundation in transmitting values. He encourages spending quality time together, using his own example of motivating his son to create content, including a podcast, to foster shared experiences.

**2. Holistic Education:** Sidz believes that education extends beyond traditional schooling. He advocates for the cultivation of qualities like confidence and empathy, emphasizing the need to redefine the education system and update teaching methods.

**3. Role Models:** Sidz calls for the creation of positive role models, both digitally and in real life, recognizing the scarcity of such figures for the current generation. He emphasizes the pivotal role of parents as role models and the significance of surrounding children with morally upright individuals.

**4. Engage in Community Service:** Sidz encourages involving children in community service to provide them with genuine human experiences, particularly as they spend extensive time on screens. He believes such activities foster a sense of belonging.

**5. Media Literacy and Content Control:** Sidz advises promoting media literacy among children to help them distinguish constructive from degrading content. He stresses the importance of setting a good example by moderating one’s own media consumption, particularly news consumption.

**6. Open Dialogues on Morals and Sensitive Topics:** Sidz recommends fostering open dialogues about morals, sex, and other sensitive subjects with children. He urges parents to be non-judgmental and act as mentors whom children can confide in.

**7. Exposure to Culture and History:** Sidz suggests exposing children to their cultural, historical, and religious heritage to instill a sense of belonging and identity. He cautions against a one-sided admiration of Western culture, which may have long-term repercussions.

**8. Community Engagement and Mentoring:** Sidz applauds community and mentoring programs as a way to provide guidance and service exposure to children.

**9. Conflict Resolution Skills:** Sidz advocates teaching children empathy and conflict resolution skills, starting at home. He emphasizes that these skills promote respect for others and contribute to a better world.

**10. Impact of Consumption Choices:** Sidz stresses the importance of making children aware of the impact of their consumption choices, such as buying products from platforms like Amazon. He believes this awareness will encourage them to think on a broader scale and consider future generations and environmental impacts.

By implementing these recommendations, Sidz envisions a world where these younger generations can grow with strong values, character, and a broader perspective on life.

In the current material world ethical values are not the priority. This has seriously posed a threat to civilization and humanity at large. It is important for us as teachers and leaders to adopt a code of conduct embedded with moral and ethical values which may be imitated by our community members

The change starts through how we behave, act and talk @sidz

🧒🏽 Children are like sponges absorbing & imitating the behaviors and habits they observe in adults. They look up to parents as ROLE MODELS

By Demonstrating responsibility, accountability, and self-leadership,👨‍👧Parents can instill good qualities in children as well

🚫 Be mindful of how you act, talk & interact in front of children

INFACT they are like clay whatever we do leaves an impression on them

✅ The impressions we leave on children through our actions, behaviors, and words have a profound influence on their values, beliefs, & behaviors as they grow to be amazing individuals in our society

✅ Parents must understand the importance of how you share information of your work and WHY we need a strong work ethic and discipline to succeed

❌ If you crib or complain they may view work as a burden

✅ If you say why your work is challenging & how – they will understand how to avoid being in a similar situations

✅ Remember when interacting with children, You are essentially shaping their character & the future our world 🌍

Love your podcast messages as always @Sidz

FAMILY FOUNDATION: It’s essential to review and show it to the children.
ROLE MODEL: The parents should be the primary role model for their children. Inspire them to feel and act on the role model mechanism which nurtures value for them. When you show up front with parents’ activities as an open book they feel and follow it.
OPEN DIALOGUE: Be open and encourage children to participate in value-based dialogues, allowing them to speak out and be a listener. It creates confidence in them.
CULTURAL AWARENESS: It gives them an awareness of the society around them and what is going on. When it is nurtured through a meaningful dialogue, then outside toxicity can be avoided.
MENTORING PROGRAM: The parental mentoring of some age of say up to 8-10 years. Then the children follow what is seen outside and hear from friends. This gives mostly extroverted perspective ideas. It may give positive ideas but mostly brings negative ideas too. So, the right mentoring at the right age is always a fruitful one for children and then parents could leverage the right way also.
CONFLICT-FREE LIFESTYLE: It is important for understanding and nurturing the conflict-free style. The conflicts quite often happen inside as well as outside. But one should understand that it happens to you every day. It should be cleaned and nurtured with positive seeds to nullify negative feelings and thoughts. it helps them to grow with a positive attitude and feel stronger day by day.
EHICS: The learning ethics are important

Discourage children from consuming and being hooked to anything harmful, negative.
Encourage media literacy where next generation to differentiate between constructive and deconstructive stuff. Walk the path and help them imbibe them.

      6) Encourage conversation around important topics
Don’t allow them to bottle up things and look outside in dangerous ways. Instead become approachable, be their mentor without enforcing that you are a mentor.

I have thought of putting her in seva in ashram, or in our community as crew

You practice and teach what you practice

It’s about creating the culture, the right and proper condusive environment, the physical and mental, emotional balance that has to be practised the the very right young age , at the earliest, in order to build that strong foundation on right culture environment and the pillars built on them are unshakeable, no matter what ever the situation they face in their nearest future and in the long run, while making decision in their life as they grow…

      Thank you very much Sidz.

    • Swati Arora

Very critical points shared in this podcast wrt the future generation. Inculcating cultural heritage and values, encouraging open and transparent dialogue, conscious absorption of information all points are extremely important and relevant for the upcoming generation to succeed.
One point that I want to mention is that as parents we don’t generally let decision making be entrusted onto our kids; which we should encourage more often so that they are able to build their decision making muscle

    • Dr Soubam Premchandra Singh

In today’s parlance the thought provoking space for people is to know about values of human form of life. We have to be deeply concerned about today’s younger generations. They impact of technology development is very much like double edged knife. it affects both the person and the environment. To avoid deterioration we have to look back to the scaled and well established life style of the path which is nourished by a very few today. Over and above the well thought out strategies put forward by sidz in the podcast, we have to inculcate spiritual values also. To help people build spiritually grounded businesses from the comfort of their homes by tapping into their expertise and knowledge and building vibrant learning communities.

I can relate to the 80s world very well and see the difference in the previous generation and now..
Family bond is important : Yes who understands it better than a mom of teenager. Engaging in discussions, and participating in activities is the core of good bonding and selfless love.

Education in modern style : education in classroom is irrelevant for sure but for want of good practical ways to enhance skills, this is the only way out it seems but not for long.

Positive Role Models: very difficult though but for sure parents have to be the one who can shape their values.

Proper Engagement: Even small events within society can be a way to keep children updated with culture and local issues. Encourage children to participate in community-based activities and service.

Media (social) Filtering out the garbage is what they need to be taught.

Open Dialogue: good bonding and freedom to express themselves is important. Create an environment where children feel comfortable discussing values,

Cultural and Historical Awareness: History creates roots. Knowing it from the beginning makes children stronger. . This helps children develop a sense of pride, identity, and values.

Conflict Resolution : not only within the family but in school, with people with same age or elder yes they have to learn this id they have to become leaders.

Being conscious consumers impact of their choices in society and world as a whole

    • Shivangi Datar
