Do you want to know the real story of how the Digital Masters Conference and the Digital Masters Alliance came into being? Read this post till the end.
It was November 2018.
I was in a shopping mall.
I get a casual call from Avi Arya.
We discussed some things… and suddenly our conversation went into a mode where we were thinking “why not we create a WhatsApp group with some of the top digital experts from India.”
Avi was super pumped… because he’s seen the magic of collaboration in the USA & Canada… after personally meeting guys like Gary Vaynerchuk, Grant Cardone and other biggies..
So that same day… I messaged Deepak Kanakaraju. I created a WhatsApp group with just the 3 of us. we called it Digital Heroes 🙂
Then I added Gopal Krishnan, Sorav Jain, Gaurav Gurbaxani, Sanjay Shenoy and Faheem Ahmed into the same group.
I recorded some voice notes to each one of them telling them the intention of creating this group…. which was to “help each other” and collaborate. Everyone was super excited!
Kulwant Nagi and Saurabh Choudhary also jumped in.
On the 13th of January… we had our first meeting in Chennai.
Kulwant could not make it to Chennai, as he had some personal work. We spoke for the whole day. We brainstormed like crazy. We had some super fun… getting to know each other on a more personal level.
We identified our superpowers.
We discussed what was working for us and how we can collaborate with forces. Sorav got in his video team… we did some recording… got some good snaps… and hung out till 2am @ GRT Grand!!
What a day it was!!
Some of our pics went viral… haha.. Coz it was probably the first time anyone has seen all of us in one frame.
On January 18th, Jack Canfield was in Chennai speaking at the National Achievers Conference.
I messaged Surendran Jayasekar about the gang and what we were planning. Was really sweet of him to call us over to the Success Gyan office in Chennai… and the bonus was… we got to meet the amazing Jack Canfield together as a team.
Jack shared with us some really powerful principles on building a mastermind.
He inspired us with his story of creating and how he created an alliance with many of the other BIG names in the personal development world like Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, T. Harv Eker and others.
And that was the moment when we realised that we were on to something BIG.
We had the validation from a great man like Jack Canfield that we were on the right track.
Collaboration over competition.
We Started Weekly Masterminds
Ever since our meeting with Jack, we started to meet every Sunday over ZOOM.
Our ZOOM Calls had a very clear agenda… we would discuss:
- What was working for us
- What we can GIVE to each other
- Specific ASKS from members of this group
- Ideas on how we can IMPACT the community together
We actually were learning new things from each other on a weekly basis by applying the mastermind principle that Napoleon Hill talks about in his book Think and Grow Rich.
We started to help each other.
And we started to see the alliance bond closer and closer.
Avi and I co-founded and set up a separate entity specifically for this collaboration project, as all of us were already agency owners and had our own businesses running.
We created a common vision for this alliance… which is – “To inspire and impact 1 million businesses in India to grow exponentially in this digital revolution.”
May 29th Goa Trip
On May 29th, we had an amazing catchup in Goa @ Avi’s – The Tamarind Hotel in Anujna!
We had a blast!
This is where we started to brainstorm on the “Digital Masters Conference” with Success Gyan.
We laid down the foundation of the full-day event. We knew that in an event like this with all of us speaking, we had to make it sharp, powerful and packed with a lot of value – without overlapping on any of our topics.
Surendran gave us some really amazing ideas based on his vast experience in the event space. This gave us the confidence that our first Digital Masters Conference will be a success!
We started to put all that down in mindmaps and we had the foundation ready.
This alliance originally started with 10 members.
After the Goa trip, Saurabh Choudhary decided to take a step back due to personal reasons and we respected his decision. Great guy!!
So we froze the alliance to 9 masters – with Avi Arya and myself being co-founders.
So we were now officially 9 members and we called it the Digital Masters Alliance.
Working Towards DMC
This was a crazy phase!!
We started the pre-buzz marketing of the event in July itself.
July 10th we launched a special offer on tickets and we had more than 400+ people who bought tickets for the event on that same day!!
It really blew our minds away on the power of collaboration.
We started to get featured on top newspapers across the country.
Success Gyan had a huge part to play in the filling of the room. They are the BEST in this game!
Exactly 2 weeks before the Digital Masters Conference… there were butterflies in our stomach!
It’s ok to prepare for a full day workshop… we all have done this before…. but with only 20-25 minutes time limit per speaker, we really had to prepare even harder to make it like a TED-style power-packed presentation.
So we grouped ourselves into 3 segments…
One group of 3 focusing on INFLUENCE. (Avi, Sorav, Deepak)
Group of 3 focusing on IMPACT and conversions. (Faheem, Sanjay, Gaurav)
And the 3rd group focusing on INCOME. (Gopal, Kulwant, Sidz)
And we built our presentations based around these themes so that the audience gets great value!
By the time it was August 14th, we had over 900+ registrations for the event!
Wow!!
August 14th – Arrival In Mumbai
What started off as a WhatsApp group 9 months ago was now going to manifest into something magical.
All the guys landed in Mumbai on August 14th.
We had a briefing with Surendran on how the event will need to be!
We took a lot of notes… Tweaked our presentations… And made sure that we were ready to create an impact the next day.
Digital Masters Conference – August 15th – The Vision Manifests
I wake up on August 15th. The only intention in my mind was “IMPACT”.
I walk down the hallway, do the soundcheck and ensure that all our PPTs are smooth.
It was raining like crazy in Mumbai… and in spite of that @ 7:30 am, we had the registration desks overflowing with people… That’s the spirit of Mumbai!
The doors open… and over 900+ people rush in and fill up this amazing hall @ Sahara Star
The event begins…
We start the day with the National Anthem.
Ashish Vidyarthi [award winning Bollywood actor] starts of with an amazing boost of inspiration and how we need to embrace the digital world.
Avi Arya shared his golden nuggets in Micro Video Mastery and how he closed 700+ clients using micro-videos using a proven formula.
Deepak Kanakaraju shared the 7 triggers to persuade people to buy online.
Sorav Jain shared keen insights on the power of being a “digital influencer”.
Then we had international stock market specialist Reshveen Rajendran blow peoples minds away with his value investing strategies which he learnt directly from Mary Buffet (the daughter-in-law of Warren Buffet)
Surendran Jayasekar shared his personal story and his vision to transform India thru real-world training and education.
After the lunch break, we had Sunrise Candles Mahabaleshwar- Bhavesh Bhatia give a mesmerising speech on his story to success.
Faheem Ahmed shared his powerful strategies on campaign optimisation and how he’s helped his clients achieve $1 million a month.
Sanjay Shenoy thrilled the audience with his content marketing strategies and how he has helped brands achieve over 1 million page views on their websites.
Gaurav Gurbaxani got the audience to drool with more than 10+ killer tools to scale a business fast – and how he grew from 20 to 2000 clients leveraging automation and remote workers.
After the evening break we had Gopal Krishnan who came in and shared his secrets to Facebook conversions… by applying the “story triangle” – and how he helped his clients achieve 100 million rupees.
Kulwant Nagi shared his story on how he went from ZERO to achieving over $500,000 thru his blogs using keyword research and content marketing.
I, Siddharth Rajsekar, came in and shared my story on how I went from ZERO to over Rs.1.8 Crores in 10 months selling digital courses.
The grand finale was Rajiv Talreja… who really went into the deep principles of building a successful business that can scale fast. His humour infused presentation slapped the egos of many business owners.
The Power Of A Unified Vision
The event ended with a sense of a unified vision not just for the speakers… but for the entire audience of 900+ people.
Hundreds of people realised the potential of the digital world.
Many of them made the commitment to take their learnings to the next level.
And the best part was this… what started off as a WhatsApp group with Avi, Deepak and I… now was something much bigger than we could ever imagine.
That’s the power of UNITY.
That’s the power of COLLABORATION.
That’s the power of having a BIG VISION and a pure INTENTION.
1 + 1 = 11 and in our case, it is 99.
I hope this story inspired you.
I encourage you to also create such alliances in your field and impact people together.
We are living in an abundant world.
People who are competitive have a very narrow mindset.
But if you have the spirit of collaboration, it will expand new horizons and opportunities which are unimaginable. So please work in unity.
The Vision For The Future
As the Digital Masters Alliance, we are now planning to really push hard in the next decade to inspire and impact millions of people in the digital space in India.
We want to expand and increase our collaborations and bring in all of our Indian Digital Marketing fraternity together as one force… to inspire and impact India digitally.
If you resonate with this, please stay connected with us and attend our next Digital Masters Conference in your city.
A huge thanks to all our mentors and supporters on this journey.
To your success,
Siddharth Rajsekar

Power of Collaboration !
So different from what we have been facing and believing about our lives since early childhood- Competition. Really ! Collaboration at times seems unreal. In the sense, never learned to see in the this way.
But It’s real, it’s happening and it’s only going to grow bigger and better. All the best for Your Team of Digital Masters. Thank you for this beautifully crafted article. Planting this new seed in the field of my mind –
“Collaboration”. It feels so good.
