A lot of people are living complicated lives. They are hitting the accelerator and the brakes at the same time without understanding that their true power and potential lies in themselves.  It all comes down to "simple living, high thinking".

Are you ready for a simple life?

I know many successful business owners who are clocking awesome revenues but live such a stressed-out life due to all the complications in their business and personal life.

I know quite a few working professionals who have absolutely no time and space to grow personally because of all the frictions and complications in their careers.

I want to break it down to the essentials here. By the end of this you will sense a breath of fresh air, and you will move towards your goals faster.

This game of digital coaching is actually simple (when you make it simple)

It starts with your "personal daily decisions" and routine.

  • When do you wake up
  • How many meetings are on your calendar
  • How many apps do you have on your phone
  • What are you going to wear
  • What are you going to eat
  • Whom do you need to support
  • To what extent do they need your time and space
  • How many calls do you receive every day
  • How much time do you spend on YouTube
  • How much time do you spend on social media
  • What are you doing to reset your inner world daily

Most of the frictions lie here. I used to be in a position where I used to be available to anyone and everyone all the time. I did not have my personal space. I was making way too many commitments to my family and my business than I could humanly handle. And that's when the burnout started.

If your business is not growing, it's usually your personal problems that show up in your business. It's never actually a business problem. Isn't it?

Next, let's get into business decisions:

  • How big is your team
  • How much payroll do you have to process every month
  • How many meetings do you have to be in to make decisions
  • How much time and space do you have to learn and grow
  • How much time do you have to network with potential partners
  • How is your marketing strategy working
  • How is your ads strategy
  • How is your content marketing going
  • What are you doing to get predictable sales
  • Are your customers happy or not? If so why?

Business is a complicated machine, like our human body. But the interesting thing is that when we live with the right habits and give the right inputs into the human body, all the functions run properly on autopilot.

It's simple when you make it simple.

Your personal life will be simple when you make it simple.

Your business will smoothly run when you make it simple.

But simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Less is more.

Our human brain craves complexity.

We feel that only when things are complicated, do they have value.

But it's not true.

Most people are hitting the accelerator and the brakes at the same time.

They want to grow in their digital business, but their mental frictions and resistances take over.

So it's a constant state of struggle and unnecessary consumption of excessive energy.

And this is called stress.

To build a stress-free business, you need to learn how to simplify every damn thing that's a drag in your life.

You need to have the power to say NO.

That's where the magic is.

I will give you a few suggestions that worked well for me:

  • Delete all social media apps from your phone and disable all notifications for the next 30 days just to see how your stress will reduce.
  • Stop watching YouTube and NetFlix all day and switch to consuming valuable information that can help you create something valuable for the world.
  • Stop focusing just on growing your revenues. Rather focus on growing your profits - with optimal effort.
  • Track your input to output ratio when it comes to your energy, time, and money going into your business.
  • Stop picking up calls (unless it's important)
  • Start clearing the "cache" if your internal systems by meditating and connecting with the higher power. This will give you clarity in your thoughts.
  • Be clear on your vision for the future. And only make decisions that are long-term.
  • Don't fall for short-term opportunities that can give you instant gratification. There are too many shiny objects in the digital world.
  • Apologize and make peace with all the loved ones that you are resenting. When you cut down all the personal frictions, it will show in your business growth.
  • Avoid people that are bottom feeders in your life and bless them to prosper and grow without your being in their energy field.
  • Build your digital business with a small team. Start by doing things yourself and then build an efficient team that is committed to your vision. You don't need more than 3 employees in a freedom business model.
  • Treat your vendors with respect. Get the best out of them without being a micro-manager. Remember, you create your own frictions with the way you deal with people around you. The same goes for your team members.
  • Be happy when you receive money. Be happy when you spend or invest your money for yourself or your business.
  • Surround yourself with people who are aligned with your vision and goals and stay connected to our community.
  • Stick to your word and stop being a people pleaser. Say NO when you have to, without explaining yourself.
  • Focus on adding value to yourself. Only then you can add value to others. And the by-product of that is the money that you make.
  • Stop saying YES to those hundreds of projects that keep coming your way. Focus only on the ones that are the highest impact.
  • Spend quality time with your family. Don't sit at a dinner table where everyone is staring into their phones. Be present.

Again, I'm here to tell you that life can be simple when you make it simple.

Your business can grow with speed when you build it on simple principles.

If you are not growing as fast as you like, just think about where you are hitting the brakes.

I'm writing this message to you only because I have been through all the unnecessary complications in life and business and one day, I had the courage to say NO to every single thing that was not aligned with my mission.

When you know where you want to go, you will automatically know all the roads that will not lead you there.

That's the essence of simplicity.

Out of the many things that you said, a few resonate with me. And for me where I am, now at me senior age, quite a few things may not be apt and some would be.
The priorities of life are different for each one of us but the commonality of many things that you say do resonate with most of us.
Your Podcast is very effective and in a smooth tone to make the listener hear your message calm, cool and collected

Truly resonated Siddharth in various ways Thank you for sharing

    • Anand Choudhury

I completely resonate with it. The game of digital coaching is actually simple when we make it simple.

In this current era, there is great opportunity to create highly profitable digital businesses that has the potential to impact millions of lives worldwide. At the same time, its not easy to keep our lives simple given the number of distractions and excess information that are bombarded at us through all digital sources which are totally unimportant to us.

To succeed at any digital venture in today’s times you have to constantly remind yourself of the following four steps:-

      #1 What’s Your Mission & Purpose?

Keep asking yourself this question every single day, where are you heading towards. Are you on the right path? If not, what’s the right thing you must be doing, if you got only the next 6 months to live on this planet?

#2 Are you Alligned to your Purpose?

Nowadays it’s easier to find out if someone is try to fake or is really genuine with their message. If you’re not truly alligned with your purpose, people will sense that and they won’t trust you for whatever value you’re going to offer them. The key to getting alligned is to focus on your PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT and developing the MANDATORY DAILY HABITS required for your role. As Sidz says – Your vibe attracts your tribe. Trust that, it’s the truth.

      #3 Managing your EMOTIONAL RESOURCES?

Are you answering to every phone call, watching most of your videos on your YouTube Feed, clicking on mentally disturbing news links on your Google feed?

If you do that, your emotional energy gets drained in these activities. How you can you create your digital empire by exhausting your emotional resources to these distractions? You may say, those things were important to you so you spent your time watching them.

If you are a true knowledge seeker, I understand that. Remember, the ocean of knowledge is too huge. It’s endless and you can never gain all of the knowledge in the world. Follow the golden triangle as recommended by Sidz – Learn, do and teach. Don’t keep learning all the time without implementing and sharing the knowledge to the world.

And stay focused on what you have to share. Do a particular thing and be great at it.

#4 Setting your GOALS & PRIORITY?

Humans are the creatures of habits. As Earl Nightingale says – “People fail when they don’t have goals and those who succeed set goals”. Without having a clear goal in your mind, you will fail EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Remember we are living in an era of distractions and we are getting conditioned to develop Digital addictions. It’s very tough to focus on your tasks and pursue it till completion.

If you don’t set clear, tangible and REALISTIC goals in your mind, and don’t prioritise your most important tasks of the day, you will reach nowhere.

Every single day when you wake up, set the goals for your day and assign them priorities. The more precisely you define the goals and set the deadlines, the better the chances you have at succeeding in them.

Thanks a lot Sidz for sharing this brilliant masterpiece. Your super useful knowledge and wisdom are a testament to the years of struggles and hardships you have gone through in your life. Keep shining your light. You’re a true trailblazer. We need more visionaries and leaders like you to make the world a better place.

Keep motivating ppl like me who think big and you don’t let them JUST DREAM BIG.

    • Maurya SN

Really Thoughtful message Sidz, simplicity is underrated in our Society but is powerful, if you want to achieve something big.

    • Renuka S.

Yes ! Simplicity is one of the key to Success !!
But for that …one need to Go through a deep Self Analysis process… Give time to self to understand ..the day in and day out activities… Make a note of those activities which are helping towards End Goal also those Which are keeping them away from the End Goal. Say. “Yes” to the prior and ” No” the Later..

Thank You Siddharth .. for this amazing Analysed Podcasts…

    • sanchari sen

      Hi Sidz,
Thanks for the message. It was highly needed. I was really happy about what I was doing or what I was earning until and unless I had a thoughtful look at my calendar .It’s really messed up. I take 8\10 classes a day. Also, being a teacher I need to study . So, I work at least 12 hours a day. I am clearly sleep deprived. I want to spend some more time with my partner. It’s called ‘life’ what I am lacking and that is the reason I am here. Your message summons the urge and ignites the need to follow the freedom model more rigidly. Thanks.

    • P Shrinath

It is excellent efforts but my journey is not able to understand about your process and SOP initially. Hence from day one I was failure in this regard. Also not able to connect you over phone also. This is the failure of my journey

    • Lekkha Harrish

Wow, so simply profound… It created an entire experience for me, tge background music, the words, the voice and the brain(Sidz). You are truly a guiding angel. I choose to capitalize on your guidance and be aware that I am not pressing the brakes n accelerator together. 🙏🙏🙏

    • Lalitha Janakiraman

Quite an interesting one. I completely resonate with the idea of keeping everything simple.

The “Nature” around us is quite simple. It’s only when we try to decode it not so methodically and unsystematically, we make it complex and complicated.

In due course of time, we humans have induced these complexities and complications in everything (thinking that would simplify our lives) that has become so default and a norm now.

Actually, our human nature has an innate attraction towards simplicity. This we might have experienced in our childhood. We are naturally attracted towards what seems simple as compared to one thousand other items lying around it, which seem difficult to handle.

As we are already too much exposed to complexities and complications around us (all man-made), getting out of that mindset and aligning with simplicity has become more of a conscious effort now, which actually should have been happening spontaneously and (unconsciously) in a natural flow.

As you said, Leonardo Da Vinci’s quote “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” is one-in-a-million sorts.

As Albert Einstein says ““If you can’t explain it to a six year old, you don’t understand it yourself.”
If we understand something damn clear, we would know to put it in simple words, so others can understand.

That makes me wonder if “Complications and Complexities” are just one step behind “Simplicity”. When we keep understand things/events/situations/circumstances/people/systems clearly and just take that one step forward “ditching and kicking off the complexity out of it” we are right there on the Road Leading to Simplicity.
Like someone (don’t remember the name) said “Confusion is where inspiration comes from”. “Complication is where simplicity arises”. Complication and Simplicity are opposite pairs – think of them as two ends of a wide spectrum. But choose to be at the “right” of the spectrum so its simple for you and everyone around you.

      My learnings:
      Simplify….
      * The daily decisions that we have to make at our personal front (w.r.t food, dress, gadgets, apps, social media, calendar invites, space and time usage, and whatnot!)
      * The daily/monthly business decisions that we have to make (vendor management,, payroll management, no. of employees, marketing/advertisements/sales strategies, etc.)
      * Less is More — It’s such a profound, powerful thought that needs no explanation but requires a lot of thinking as to how to implement/materialize it
Suggestions to keep everything simple: Don’t shy away from saying “No” to what is not a priority and which is not important. Don’t say “Yes” to everyone and everything. Don’t try to be a people pleaser. Be surrounded by like-minded people who align with your own vision, mission, and objectives. Keep guarded against energy drainers and negative mindset people. Prioritize tasks/people and act without regret.

KISS – Keep it simple and short

Closing my comment with a sweet quote:
“Simplicity is the essence of happiness.”- Cedric Bledsoe

Thanks Siddharth for sharing this amazing podcast – which is very important for us to learn to be simple (in everything) and on our efforts towards success and happiness…

    • Neha Chimbalkar

This podcast is very different from Sidz’s usual way of podcasts. It’s value-packed and thought-provoking like his ones, however in terms of the listening experience Sidz has taken the game to next level. Sidz you are a true example of “create and not compete” in its true essence.
Talking about my takeaways from today’s podcast:
Simplicity is the most underrated quality according to me.
It takes COURAGE to be simple. To be you, to show the world what it is, to be authentic, and real self.
Like Earl Nightingale says, to become something you must pay the price.
      And Simplicity has its price.
It’s being conscious, aware, mindful, and deliberate about the simple day-to-day decisions we make. Right from what we eat, wear, to how we work, the kind of people around, etc. The small decisions we make daily have the power to shape our day, week, months, years,s and our life!
That’s why Decision making is the key quality of any entrepreneur. It’s the ability to filter and choose the decisions that align with our goals and vision over the noise and drama.
When we as humans are true to our core and live with the right kind of habits and give our body the right inputs, this complex system works on complete autopilot. So again it boils down to our decision-making ability- are we able to make good choices when it comes to our habits and inputs? if yes many things will come effortlessly on complete autopilot.
The business is a living breathing organism and the same principle applies here.
Deciding on things that align with your core is like a pre-requisite for simplicity.
It’s really in our hands to make things simple. But it needs :
      – Clarity of Thoughts/goals
      – Courage
      – Consistency
Practicing Simplicity in real life is a bit tricky. Because our minds are conditioned to believe that complex is good, and when you are doing something complex most people perceive it as doing something important. People want to grow and grow fast but they don’t realize that complexity in and around them, their work is acting as a “break” and their efforts as an “accelerator”. Hitting both together we end up going nowhere! It creates friction and resistance and neutralizes the effects of our efforts. I understand it as a “Power Struggle” between our desires and actions, that ends up sucking massive energy and potential.
When your business is not growing the way you want it mostly reflects a personal problem of an entrepreneur and not a business one.

Simplifying things is a real superpower. And the format to live a simple life is when you take care of your Mindset and Skillset
      a. Mindset:
      – Clarity of vision, goals, and purpose
      – Power to Say No and stick to it
      – Connecting with the higher power
      – Forgive and let go
      – Avoid Bottom Feeders
      – Surround yourself with high-frequency high achievers
      – Associate a positive emotion when using money to buy/spend/invest or indulge
      – Being Present at the moment and living it fully
      – Focus on one thing
      b. Skillset:
      – Conscious action-taking towards your mission
      – Learning to say no and knowing when to say it without any explanation
      – Choosing the right inputs and habits that are in line with your goal, vision, and mission
      – Investing in self, so we grow and help others grow.
      – Focusing on high-impact things
      – Staying consistent through the journey
      – value personal space
      – Assess the commitments, availability from time to time to avoid burn-outs.

It’s very important to have granular clarity about where we want to go, our destination, this will help us see all the paths to avoid /any detours / so that we don’t get lost on the way and we “Simply” find our way to true freedom!

      Thank you Sidz’s. God bless.

Thanks Sidz for the Beautiful podcast and most essential one for me and many others in this world.
Said NO to one of the time taking work today that I was doing since a while and it saved me some time to do a video for the hackathon.

-> You Don’t have to be available for all at all times
-> Prioritize & make your decision, else you will be burnt out sooner
-> Have the power & courage to say NO without any explanations
-> If your business isn’t growing, it will be due to your personal life or mindset that is affecting and not the business or system
-> When we live with right habits and right inputs to the human body, all functions will run properly on autopilot – and the same is with business, make it simple and it will run smoothly by itself
-> Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, says Da Vinci. Sometimes breaking it to the most basic elements is the most difficult thing. Less is more.
-> Our brain craves for complexity. We think If things are complicated, it is valuable. It is not so.
Unnecessary complication leads to Stress which drags the life.
-> Declutter your physical & digital assets and have only that are essential and that spreads positivity. See the change.
-> Start consuming more valuable information that adds value to your life and business
-> Be clear on the vision for future and make only decisions for long term
-> If you have to apologize and make peace with all your loved ones, then do it and be at peace, that will impact positively in your life
-> Business can only grow with speed & momentum with the principles of Simplicity
-> Stop saying Yes to all things that comes to you. Concentrate only on those that adds value to your mission and vision and that will lead you to the path of success.
-> Remove unnecessary complications and have the courage to say NO when you have to without any explanations
-> When you know where you want to go, you will automatically know all the roads that will not lead you there. That is the essence of simplicity.
-> Be happy when you receive money and be happy when you spend and invest the money for yourself or in your business
-> Stay connected to your community & stick to your value system
-> Make your life simple, MAGIC will unfold itself

      When you make it simple
I completely resonate it, the game of digital coaching is actually simple when we make it simple.
In this current era, there is great opportunity to create high profitable digital business that has potential to create high profitable digital business that has potential to impact million of lives worldwide. At the same time, it’s not easy to keep our lives simple given the number of distractions and excess information that are bombarded at us through all digital sources, which are totally available before us in social media platforms.
To succeed at any digital venture in today’s time you have to constantly remind yourself of the following four steps.
Simplicity is underrated in our society, but is powerful. If you want to achieve something big.
Simplicity is one of the key to success. The need to go through a deep self analysis process. Give time to self to understand the day in and out activities. Make a note of these activities which are helping the end goal.
Keep every area of your life simple helps in keeping your mind clean and when you are mentally clean, internal growth is natural process.
The priorities of life are different from person to person but the commonality of many things that you say do resonate with most of us.
#1 What is your mission and purpose
Keep asking yourself this question every single day, where you are heading towards are you on the right path? Ifn’t what’s the right thing you must be doing. If you got only the next few months to live in the plant?
#2 Are you aliened to your purpose
Now a days, It’s easier to find out if someone is try to fake or is really genuine with their message. If you’re not truly aliened with your purpose. People will sense that and they won’t trust you for whether value you’re going to offer them. The key to getting allined to focus on you per round development and development and developing the mandatory daily habits required for your role. As sidz says your vibe attracts your tribe .Truth that it’s the truth.
      #3 Managing your emotional resources
Are you answering to every phone call, watching most of your videos on your YouTube feed. Clicking on mentally disturbing news link on your Google feel ?
If you do that your emotional energy gets drained in these activities. How you can you create your digital empire by exhausting your emotional resources to these distractions. You may say, those things were necessary / important to you, so you spent your time watching them.
If you are a true knowledge sector. I understand and agree that the ocean of knowledge is too hung, it’s endless and you can never gain all of the knowledge in the world.
Follow the golden triangle as recommended by Sidz learn do and teach. Don’t keep learning all the time without implementing and sharing the knowledge to the world and stay focus on what you have to share. Do a particular things and be great at it.
#4. Setting your goals and priority
Humans are the creation of habits. As Earl Nightingale says People fail when they don’t have goals and those who succeed set goals without having a clear goals in your mind. You will fail in every single time.
Remember, we are living in an era of distractions and we are getting conditioned to develop digital additions. It’s very tough to focus on your tasks and pursue it till completion.
If you don’t set clear tangible and realistic goals in your mind and don’t priories your most important tasks of the day, you will reach nowhere.
Every single day when you wake up set the goals for your day and assign them priorities.
The most precisely you define the goals and set the deadlines, the better the chance you have at succeeding in them.
Thanks a lot Sidz for sharing this brilliant and precious masterpiece. Your super useful knowledge and wisdom & hardship dedications You have gone through in your life. Keep shinning your light. You’re true person in this universe. We need more visionaries and leaders like you to make the world a better place.
