If you want to get more sales, you need to be a buyer first. If you are not investing in yourself, don't expect others to invest in you. Get detached to the results. This is the paradox of sales. Listen to this podcast if you want to become awesome at sales.

Do you want more sales?

People that want to save time, part with money.

People that are tightfisted with money, end up wasting more time.

This is the paradox of sales.

What I have observed after selling $4mn worth of digital products is that the effort to sell a high ticket or a low ticket product is the same.

However, to build a high ticket offering, it requires a lot of low ticket experiments. There are no shortcuts.

When you are starting off on the digital coaching journey, it's advisable to start by selling low ticket products. According to me low ticket is anything above Rs.5000. Anything less than this according to me is only a better quality lead. 

To sell a Rs.5000 product, ideally 3 things need to match.

Message -> Market -> Offer

When there is a "message to market" match, you'll have more show-ups in your webinars. 

When there is a "offer to market" match, you'll have more conversions in your webinars. 

It's as simple as that.

What I have observed is that people that want everything for free, usually do not achieve results that fast. 

Here's why:

  1. When they are "tight-fisted" with money, it fundamentally creates a block in their own internal system to receive money.
  2. When people pay, they pay attention. Else they usually do not value the information. If anyone is not willing to invest Rs.5000 in their education, they do not have a growth mindset.
  3. Also, when they do not invest in their own learning, even their audience mirror the same behaviour. If someone is looking only for "cheaper stuff", they will end up attracting an audience looking for "cheaper stuff" and this gets into a loop that does not anyone forward financially.

I also also noticed that every single member in my community that has invested in my higher ticket programs (Diamond and Quantum) have progressed much faster in their digital coaching business. It's because of this specific reason.

And the same happened with me many years ago.

While I was trying to play the "cheap" game, I was stuck and I was running around in circles. And the moment I broke through my own resistances of "buying higher value products", my bank account started to grow.

The paradox os sales is this... "if you want more sales, you need to be a buyer first."

The act of investing in your own growth will give you a sub-conscious release of resistances, and an edge over others where you will have a moral authority to charge others without feeling guilty. 

Guilt only comes when you are trying to sell stuff, without you being a buyer yourself.

Here's another interesting thing I have observed about sales:

  • The higher the ticket, the lesser the time people decide to buy
  • The lower the ticket, the more time you need to spend educating

In my regular webinars, where I sell my Silver membership, I need 90-mins to 2 hours to sell that product. I need that much of time to educate my audience on the features & benefits of starting on this journey.

But for people investing in my Diamond membership, the effort and time to sell this product is much lesser. And a lot of my Diamond member have jumped up really fast, because they see the value. 

And for my Quantum Club, my last batch of 25 members got closed within 45-minutes of opening it up. Quantum is a 10L investment. It's not a small amount. But my effort to close that batch was much lesser than a 2 hour webinar. 

How come?

People that saw the value in saving time, invested their money. Simple.

And something that I have not shared openly before.

I currently invest $30,000 (Rs.21L) per year for my own education. I'm a part of 2 masterminds where I'm constantly learning and I'm always surrounding myself with people that are much better than me.

That's the secret. 

I demonstrate the behaviour that I would like my customers to do.

Many people have this concern.. "Oh! I don't have money to invest in higher ticket programs".

Honestly.... that's just an excuse.

If someone really wants to move up to the next level, they will find a way.

Every single person that I have known to break through in this community, made that investment when they did not have the money. 

They got resourceful when they had to. 

And that pressure of performance pushed them to to greater levels of success in their knowledge business.

Here's a summary of all the key lessons on this topic:

  • Selling low and high ticket requires the same effort
  • Building a solid high ticket offer requires many low ticket experiments. No shortcuts. 
  • Have a low ticket front-end product to increase volume + a high-ticket back end product to increase profits. This is the best formula.

What I have shared above is the essence of all my failed experiments.

You do not have to go through that 10 year learning curve.

Just apply the above concepts and you will cut this short to a 2 year journey.

Just stay focused. 

Do not get allured by all the shiny objects in the online world.

It's never about tools and techniques.

It's all about your "internal game" of being congruent as a person.

That's what will attract sales.

Stick to your word.

Overdeliver value.

Give people 10X the value that they paid for.

Sales is just a transfer of emotions.

Selling for me is a form of service.

When you believe in yourself and the impact your product can deliver to your students, that will attract the right students. 

Don't worry about conversion numbers.

Work on yourself everyday and that will take care of itself.

And here's the icing on the cake...

"To increase your sales.... get detached to the results."

      My Biggest Takeaways, those are really connected with my journey!!

      – Demonstrate behaviour you want in your tribe!

      – Every single successful people, invested in learning, invested themselves when they didn’t have money! It’s about being resourceful! And I am so proud of me that I have unknowingly laid down this path for me, to keep on investing in myself when I didn’t had money, by breaking investment, emergency funds , taking gold loan etc. etc.. and I always had trust on my mentor to be the student of high ticket programs! It’s not about not having resources, it’s all about being resourceful! I understand this phrase when literally started to live with it!!

      – Its about all the mindset! People who wants to save money they end up loosing most valuable asset, Time! And they loose opportunities! And finally they end up not attracting and creating abundance!!

      What a great sharing by my mentor, Siddharth Rajshekhar. Jai Shri Krishna. But before sharing my learning I want to share one story of mine related to ME & INTERNET LIFESTYLE HUB.

      ##### My starting point is my turning point in with Internet Lifestyle Hub

      I still remember, it was July 2020. I came home after work. I finished dinner, called my wife as I was living overseas. After finishing talking with family members, I took my phone and randomly started to watch YouTube (that is the typical thing for most working professionals like me who have no purposeful life). And I used to coach students through skype as an English Teacher, but I was not doing good because of a lack of guidance. One day when I was attending his webinar, he added spirituality and freedom so beautifully. “FREEDOM”. I never had the freedom and that hope of freedom and purposeful life ended me buying his course. And that was my turning point.

      This was my starting journey with Siddharth Rajsekar a.k.a. Sidz

      I still remember, I decided to monetize my knowledge 2 years back, but I had some basic knowledge of how to create courses. Mostly I have learned from a few people online.       3 . When a product is built, you need to understand the importance of MMO. This is something I missed out and I was targeting everyone for everything. But what I learned in this podcast, is to have MMO. What is MMO?

      – Simply create a message > market and Offer to sync. All three corners of the successful sales pitching triangle should be synced.

      How I am going to apply:-

      First, Earlier I was pitching my English communication courses to everyone. Now I decided to focus only on working professionals.

      Second, I was showing only wha’s included in the product but there was no message. The message means the top three pain points and top three achievements after my courses. So I wrote down these three things and I will add them in my sales pitch and webinars.

      Third, I am not going to reduce my product price lesser than 5000. Because I believe in my offerings, and it is now going to sync with my message and my positioning. I have spent a long time creating value for my level-1 students for getting results. No matter they join in webinars or not. I will have my service mindset but not going to reduce the price of my level-1 offering. And when they pay will 5000 they will pay attention and my support is always there for them to succeed in this learning journey.

      Forth, I will bring higher ticket courses very soon but before that, I will invest in myself so that I can learn more do more, and teach more. Simply following the Golden Triangle taught by Sidz. So that my students will invest money in themselves. As sidz said, your students are reflections of you. I will demonstrate the behavior that I want in my students.

      Fifth, I will start shifting my mindset even deeper with money. The easiest way I found is to stay connected with Internet Lifestyle Hub by Siddarth Rajsekar.       Lessons learned
      There are three basic things for Digital Coaching Business.
      1. Message
      2. Market
      3. Offer
      Message that you want to convey to your customers should be clear.
      Also You should know the Market very well.
      And
      Offer which you create should correspond the message and market.
      Besides this few things before selling should be taken care.
      1. Become buyer first to sale your products as your customers will reflect the same behavior which you’re showing to them. So always invest in your learning.
      2. Selling High ticket product and Low ticket products require same kind of effort.
      3. If you’re starting your journey focus on low ticket products and there after on selling High ticket products. Don’t fall for the gimmicky advertisements and different experiments.
      4. You can have balance with Low tickets for getting more business volume and more profitability with high tickets.
      5. Always provide value for the money spent for your products which will make easier to sell high ticket products as people in low tickets experience the value they received so easily covert to high tickets.
      Summary
      Demonstrate the behaviour which you want from the customers.
      Always be congruent as a person and stay focused with the things you need to deliver to High ticket and Low ticket customers.
      Always stick with your words which will show your commitment towards your customers.
      Always try to provide 10x value of the price which your customers have paid irrespective of High or Low ticket customers.
      Don’t worry for the conversations just do the basic things right. As in Bhagvad Geeta it’s said “Do your work it’s not your job to think about the results.” So don’t work thinking of outcomes just do your work and outcomes will be great.

      You don’t have ethical right to sell high ticket products/services if you are not buyer of any high ticket product/service.

      It’s same as you should not run after money. The money will follow you when you start giving value to your customer, society and nation.

      When you play the role of a Sales person see that your message to the Market should match..for you to have more showup rates..
      For that to happen one should EDUCATE PEOPLE before they come to the webinar…
      Then when you offer about your product
      And it Price…they are willing to listen to you.
      Here the first part of a sales person is done.

      Now the Product Price which is the offer to the Market should match. it should not be either too High nor too low . A very reasonable rate around Rs. 5000/- to attract right valuable customers . The offer is very important..If Conveyed in the right form there’s a High chance of more Conversations..
      More People will buy the product.

      Customers perspective :
      After being educated about the product , if that information aligns with their fullfillment of any of the needs then they will attend webinars . Secondly if they see the real value in that first offer of product… they may try for an experiment for themselves on their capability . Like a litmas test .

      Sales Persons prospective :
      When the customer enters in your surroundings.. Now is the time to help him achieve the milestones set one after the other and take him to the next level…and next Level until he reaches the purpose of his joining your Community. The journey is step by step No Shortcuts..

      Customers perspective :
      After seeing the results at first level will take that decision to continue inthe journey with you and hope of achieving Results he desired becomes stronger.
      The product may be the Best but he has to breakthrough all the barriers to achieve his desired goals and will take some time.
      But the moment his resistance is broken, then the journey becomes smooth and Money no more becomes the criteria , to act as a barrier.

      Decisions are quick to move fast ahead moving to the next level.
      So for him by paying more money time is saved .
      Just like traveling in a luxury Bus, which doesn’t stop any where. Direct Destination is the purpose asas compared to the Local bus where journey is not only long but also tidous unnecessarily passes through all the stops and streets, making the cure Long and time consuming.

      Buy making the right decision at right time A Clear intentional Win Win situation is created for both sales person and the customer..

      Both are Happy at least resistance.
